v-ball lost tonight in 3 games...:(, but they made it to final 4!!so i'd say that's pretty sweet!

Today i overheard some people talking about relationships, and how her ex-boyfriend thought that being in a relationship meant "doing stuff". then i was like, guys are so stupid! i think my definition of a relationship is two people who:
-share some common interests (not all b/c then that'd be boring)
-loving to see that other person everyday
-not staying in the relationship purely for physical reasons
-want something out of it, again, not purely physical, but gaining something, some piece that could've been missing for so long.
-not having to call eachother every second, and/or see eachother every second...being able to have some space
-and being able to just look into eachothers' eyes...not just glance, but gaze, and be o.k. without saying anything. seeing the glint in the other person's eyes i think is priceless.

i don't know, i guess high school relationships aren't like that too much. hmmm...so much to think about on that subject.

OMG!! soccer tryouts are tomorrow!! We are actually here...what a feeling its gonna be lacing up the 'ol boots again! well, for the two people who actually read my livejournal (and are on my team) here are some quotes for ya...(i'm in to quotes all of the sudden)...

"The vision of a champion is someone bent over, drenched in sweat, to a point of exhaustion, when no one else is watching." Anson Dorrance to Mia Hamm

"Tomboy. Alright, call me a tomboy. Tomboys get gold medals, tomboys can fly, and oh yeah, tomboys aren't boys." Julie Foudy

"After each game, I want to be able to say: I gave it all I could, I gave it my best." Mia Hamm

"You can't just beat a team, you have to leave a lasting impression in their minds so they never want to see you again." Mia Hamm

"I am not, nor will I ever be interested in the possibility of defeat" Shannon MacMillan

"When the whole team is connected and everything is working and flowing- it's a powerful feeling" Mia Hamm

"This is my game, this is my future, watch me play!" 1999 WWC motto

"We are go to be back. And we going to be back even stronger" Julie Foudy

"It's blood, sweat, sometimes tears." ---Bob Hayes

"Love the game. Love the game for the pure joy of accomplishment. Love the game for everything it can teach you about yourself. Love the game for the feeling of belonging to a group endeavoring to do its best. Love the game for being involved in a team whose members can't wait to see you do your best. Love the game for the challenge of working harder than you ever have at something and then harder than that. Love the game because it takes all team members to give it life. Love the game because at its best, the game tradition will include your contributions. Love the game because you belong to a long line of fine athletes who have loved it. It is now your legacy. Love the game so much that you will pass on your love of the game to another athlete who has seen your dedication, your work, your challenges, your triumphs... and then that athlete will, because of you, love the game."

"Together we stand, together we fall, together we're winners, and winners take all."

"Every team requires unity. A team has to move as one unit, one force, with each person understanding and assisting the roles of his teammates. If the team doesn't do this, whatever the reason, it goes down in defeat. You win or lose as a team, as a family."
---Jack Kemp

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." --Anaïs Nin, Diary entry, March 1937

"Friends are these people who ask you how you are and wait for an answer." T.G.S.R.

"A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself-and especially to feel. Or not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at any moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to--letting a person be what he really is."--Jim Morrison

"The difficulty is not so great to die for a friend, as to find a friend worth dying for." --Homer

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. -- Winnie the Pooh

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do.
-Eleanor Roosevelt

The minute you start talking about what you're going to do if you lose, you have lost.
-George Shultz

"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow."

"Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
-Mahatma Gandhi

Dance like there's nobody watching
Love like you'll never get hurt
Sing like there's nobody listening
Live like it's heaven on earth
And speak from the heart to be heard.

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
